Good review; I feel like you got the point you were trying to convey across quite well without having

to over-elaborate. I disagree with the band not being about Christ though, as a few certain songs were

just riddled with the prospect of him. Otherwise great review.

I like Spencer's vocals more than Aarons, and I can tell, and more so hope, that this band will

continue to evolve. I didn't like how conforming all the songs were to the genre though, and overall

they didn't have a great amount of uniqueness, but each were very good sounding on their own however.

imo obviously they are a christian band and the music is written from that perspective but it is written in a way that overcomes that and can easily appeal and relate to people that are on the completely opposite spectrum, such as an atheist like me.

I usually like the lyrics, but imo the best lyrics are in to whom it may concern. That song actually had an effect on me, not like life changing or anything, but it got me thinking..

Good review btw and yeah i definitely agree this is a grower as Underoath tends to do. If I would have rated this after 2 listens I would have given it a 3-3.5. I've listened to it like 15 times and am now confident with a 4-4.5.

Why is everyone praising this so hard? I find it to be so bland and boring. By the way I'm not trying to troll or anything, just wondering why people like this so much. This is coming from a fan that loved LITSOS and DTGL.

I miss Aaron's sexy whines. That being said, album is still a pack full of sweetness. Nice review as well.

Is it just me or has post-hardcore gotten really moody recently? It's like they all decided to start listening to the Deftones at the same time: these guys, Thrice, Trophy Scars, Felix Cupla... Even Dillinger who are supposed to be spastic decided to get more atmospherey than usual on their latest. I'm equivocating of course, but they've all lost this 90s aggressive teenage angst and jumped into post-teen deep and meaningful instead. It's not a bad thing, just a trend that seems to be cropping up.

I think production had a lot to do with that. Songs are definitely spacier, but heavier at the time

The ending of Catch Myself Catching Myself, and the ending of Paper Lung are so brutal.

Liked the review. Listening through this right now. Vacant Mouth has been my favorite track so far.
