I will have to respectfully disagree with you, the albums have a very similar sound. It's fine if you think that they are both pop driven, which doesn't automatically make them bad anyway, but I don't hear a drastic change in style between the two albums. The review is fine, although I'm not sure that Interpol are really that weird.

this is a really good review actually, you've got a good understanding of the record despite perhaps not having so much of the prior bands nessecary.
I think you could potentially listen to a lot more music like this through this album.
