Nick Urata's vocals are certainly not what brings this album down.
It's like everyone needs to have super obvious hooks to make a great album with some of you people.
not if the music is otherwise engaging, which most of this isn't. Its kind of just there.
Yetigeddon I still have no freakin' clue how you hear Arcade Fire. I mean, if you really force yourself to hear it then I guess.
They stripped a lot of their punk influences on this album in favor of pretty backing strings. Their turn from Romani to Baroque influences is what makes me think of Arcade Fire. The fem-gang-vox and effects-pedal play also aid in the comparison, esp considering this is the first album they've popped up on concerning this band.

Not gonna lie this grew off me. A lot of '11 releases have been doing that to me.
Still a great record though.

I can't stand them. I cringe nearly every time he sings on this album. Otherwise, I'd be really into this. The music is engaging but that voice.

Vocals are fine. Album itself is a pretty fun listen, floating between a 3 and 3.5 for me.

I really dig the vocals. This band's ability to tap into so many musical styles without sounding trite or disjointed is really something. Superb.
