If you don't listen to 'A Lesson In Romantics', you'd be Miserable At Best.

Ok, I can't claim that one, it's similar to a t-shirt design I saw of theres on Friday. Average age of people wearing it = 16.

Hehehe. But they can't see Derek's tatts.

I still refuse to believe Jason ever had a fringe.

Adam, you were def right about this having lasting value. The hooks in "Lucky Street" and "Singing with the King" have been stuck in my head all week.

Trying to kid andcas.

The hooks in this are almost sneaky. 'Singing With The King' is one song that I don't find very memorable though... Even if there are a couple of clever lyrics in it.

I know... Although it probably helped that they were all so f'n colourful on front & back... Hence why they cost more than any other band shirt.

Still think the title-line from 'Miserable At Best' is one of my favourite lyrics.

If you ever get banned Adam, I think that will be your alt.

Hey, do you think my comparison of the way Jason enunciates some of his vocals to Rob Thomas is going a little too far? It had bugged me for a while who it was reminding me of & when I realised it was Rob Thomas, it surprised me.

It's that pseudo English accent that they sort of put over.

I think he sometimes over-enunciates on this record, as opposed to ALIR where I think he's just suitably overwrought. I don't hear the Rob Thomas thing myself, though.

I wish I could think or a Thomas/Matchbox20 song right now where he does it. But I do agree with what you say about the comparison of this album to ALIR Adam. There are 1 or 2 songs on here where Jason over-steps the line I think & it borders on annoying.

Agreed.

'Goodnight Moon' from the EP is better than any Mayday Parade track.

Yeah, but have you seen the review of that EP on this site... That song is like "easily the worst song on the EP". LOL.
