There's definitely an old school vibe to be had here

Seem to be missing a few people in this thread

I much preferred this live to the actual album versions, but then this was made for Funktion 1 and not laptop speakers. Cannot decide on a rating, but
Spaceape ruined Hyperdubstep

Disagree

Agree with Dev's disagree. Also if you are judging any music through laptop speakers, what the fuck..
|

Maybe I'm getting this confused with King Midas Sound. Murky street poet mumbling inanely over murky atmospheres?
Won't criticize a man with a PHD in dubstep, however

Awesome, a Shackleton recc.
|

Of course
I wasn't going to pull a Sputnik and rec Burial

New Shackleton EPs / remixes are too good

@adash
It sounds like you're either thinking of Kode9 and the Spaceape's first album or King Midas Sound (who I adore.)
|
| |
My guess is King Midas
|

Waiting for You is quite good, Meltdown is a tune and a half. I think I dislike Spaceape because imo his appearance jeopardized the Burial debut.

A lot of people seem to think that 'Raver' is the black sheep in Burial's catalog, I always thought of 'Spaceape' as that oddball

This was interesting . . .

This album sounds fucking rude on big speakers. Kode9 knows how to wield bassweight.

I saw this documentary on dubstep where they included a clip of Kode9 dropping 9 Samurai live. It was ridiculous.

I really want to check out the book he wrote on using noise to create bad vibes. It sounds interesting.
