This album is great but Oh Common Life >>> imo.
Not sure how I feel about the new single yet. Need to hear it in the context of the album. But I’m glad they seem to be working toward something new.

I can’t argue against people who prefer Gospel - it’s damn good. Anecdotally, my father passed away not too long before Oh, Common Life, so I have a very strangely personal connection to that album; it literally described much of what I had gone through and hit precisely the right nerves at precisely the right time. Still hard for me to listen to occasionally, because of the sour memories it harks, but that’s just a testament to its power imo.

For sure. I thought these guys were done but I'm pumped to get something new from them, and it sounds like they're taking a different direction based on the new single (which is scary, but probably a good thing).
God I remember seeing these guys in cheap VFW Halls and like thirty other people not long after 'We Are Everywhere' came out.

I love this band, probably my favorite pop-punk band of the late 00s - early 10s crop these days. The single they released like two years ago was interesting.
