it got much better towards the end. Much better. Im not so impressed though overall, but I'll have to

keep listening. I hated some of this, but some of it was really interesting. And if you think calling

"Sing My Loves" post-metal is ludicrous, then I advise you take another listen. Instead of embracing

the

metalcore/hardcore style that they mastered on Heart Stops, their going for a more post-metally type

thing. Is this a post-metal album? No. But I'd call it that before Id call it metalcore or hardcore

for someone that writes the most annoyingly pretentious of comments on fucking every post you should really fix up your homophone usage before the next time you tell us your life story.

I don't mind the last couple tracks, love the Beatlesque harmonies in Heartbreaks, Earthquakes and Iron Decibels is like awesomely bad 70's prog done Cave In style (although definitely weak compared to the others)

Album is really eclectic and better than Planets of Old (though "Cayman's Tongue" is better than any song on here :P)

If the album is thought of in interesting segments, it's flow and sound seems very logical:

"White Silence/Serpents" -> "Sing My Loves" -> "Vicious Circles/Centered/Summit Fever" -> "Heartbreaks, Earthquakes/Iron Decibels" -> "Reanimation".

Actually, the last three tracks act as "Cruel Bloom/Wretched World" did on 'Axe To Fall', just Cave In's style ;)

This review was really well-written and spot on.

Serpents is awesome. I consider the title track and that the "intro" more or less and for that purpose it's awesome

Heartbreaks, Earthquakes sounds like The Beatles if they got heavier. Maybe its the way he sings, but it sounds very British. I didn't care much for Planets of Old, this is great, though.
