Seeing as no one has given this a 5 and the average is 3.5, I don't quite agree..

This contrast between light and dark was found on the band's very first single, "Go Outside", which opened with
the notorious cult leader Jim Jones intoning, "To me, death is not a fearful thing. It's living that's treacherous." In its
earlier incarnation, the quote felt a bit like an extraneous addition for the sake of giving the band an "edge" that befitted
their name, but in context, it feels appropriate.
I can't agree with this more. I've listened to that whole tape of Jim Jones a few times, a few years ago when I learned
about Jonestown, so when I finally got the album and then noticed what the sample actually was, it changed my whole
perspective of the album. Like you said, there is a definite push-and-pull of emotion that is hidden well enough to be
presented as cheery and "summery" from the outset. It is definitely twee, but when you realise just what is being said in
the back and foregrounds, the perspective changes completely.
Good album, doesn't flow particularly well though.
Eh The XX suck

Why did I just waste 20 minutes watching these guys perform on youtube? Terrible. Either they have a 20 minute long song or all of their songs sound the same.
