i'd love to know what wyankeif1337 sees in this because it does nothing to separate itself from the other cascadian black metal bands apart from the fact it sounds even more simplistic and even less subtle.

Yeah this band has always been bottom tier Cascadian black metal for me. Their first album is a 3 (on a good day) and I can't really see how this is any different

I wonder where the reviewer got the influences and stuff he compares them to, cuz I don't remember them mentioning bands like that all the time I've known them. hardly anyone ever guess' the totally obvious musical influences in Alda's lives. Kinda funny, really.
I also like how people still believe there's an actual 'cascadian black metal' scene. it wasn't that long ago when these bands were forming and had no idea of eachother. yes, of the CBM bands, only a few actually knew eachother. When Alda were playing in their pre-Alda band, they really thought they were the only ones playing black metal of any kind in this region. there really is no scene at all. Everyone just focus' on making their rekkids and every now and then, MAYBE play a show. WITTR are the only exception. And we have them to thank for that stupid genre name. None of this is really black metal anyways. its just northwestern speed-picked crust punk with Kumbaya interludes.
And Mike, if you bitch at me for this post... I will just post something worse. You know I will.
