Jesus Christ. This record is fucking phenomenal. It reminds me of a perfect synthesis of Neutral Milk Hotel and The Microphones/Mount Eerie.

the only thing that could drag for me is "im goin to do it", but besides that its all gold. Haunting Presence and Buried Above are the perfect opener/closer.

I heard 'Spectral Bride' a year or two ago and it's a really moving track. Looking forward to hearing the album. If they've any copies of the book/CD left I'll probably order it..

this has really grown on me, some of it still feels like such contrived, superficial shit but holy shit some of these songs are brilliant and really original
