I'm listening to this for the first time. The final track is great especially... Screw Say When, this is way better lol

You know.
I had some criticism for this on my first hearing.
But this is the kind of album that grows on people.
I won't back down on my argument about their influences surfacing so obviously.
But this is a damn good record. Except for Rikki Tikki Tavi, disgustingly bad song.

Best tracks:
A Loophole in Limbo
Golden Parachutes
The Greener Grass

Greener Grass is one of the weaker tracks imo

Greener Grass is my favorite, it absolutely soars.

It's cool but it just seems to go on for too long. I like the "not today, not again" fadeout, but then

the last few minutes are kinda pointless. That said, it still rules like the rest of the album.

This is pretty great stuff. I was wondering if the vocals on Musical Chairs and Rikki Tikki Tavi are all by same singer. In any case, it's very impressive and quite a contrast haha.

They are at their best with the delicate melodies.

Like the fade out from Greener Grass. "Not today, not again, dress it up with stolen silver and garbage" is really beautiful. It's like that 10 second clip from a song you could listen to all day.

The "Her eyes fell to the floor Your eyes and mine" bit too

But then Rikki comes in and ruins it with their bad impersonation of an even worse Coal Chamber.

ikr. the production and the length are holding me back a little. but if this holds up like Fables has, I feel I'll have no other choice.
