I would've put you at a 3.5 on this Sowing.
A wrong 3.5, but a 3.5 nevertheless.

On the topic of the good lyrics of this album, it's always a chore for me to pay attention to the lyrics with bands that are hard to understand... If you don't have the handy lyric booklet, you have to look on the internet and listen to it while reading through the words... Maybe I'm lazy, but I only do it for albums with lyrics I know are amazing

You find this guy hard to understand?

Haha, you got me there ^_^ I didn't really mean this album, just overall. From what I heard, these guys seem decently easy to understand, which I appreciate very much

lol it wasn't me walking around naked, it was the singer of TDS drunk off his ass after a show

I know what you mean Alistair & agree for the most part. I guess that's why people review; to let you know when it may be worth the effort.
AJ does over-enunciate some words, but they are usually to join sentences more than not being able to understand any specifically important word.
Oops, sorry jdennis, I totally misunderstood. Haha. Hey, as long as he put on a good show before-hand.

San antonio sucks for music, it was me, my roommates, friends, and a like 5 or 6 other people there but they still rocked out like the show was sold out. a bit volatile at times but great people and great music. don't even really like this type of music but they are the first band i ever saw live and i couldn't get enough of them after RFTS. Entire cd was catchy for me and i liked the lyrics alot.

This is pretty swell.

I wouldn't have expected them to be "volatile" tbh. And hey, at least San Anton doesn't suck for basketball teams.
"Swell" is Dougie's word of the day.

Reach for the Sun was awesome. Just went through my first listen on this album. Very solid, my rating will definitely go up as i listen to this more.

Just for some perspective, I had RFtS as a solid to high 3.5. Great album, but I was disappointed at the guitar-work (or it's mixing). I actually preferred the guitar on their summery EP (which is actually rather under-rated).

this band is pretty gay, and my ex gf loved them.
...fuck them

Sounds like the Graduate only with less cheesy and better lyrics and a more enjoyable vocalist(at least for me). On the other hand there is no song which is half as great as For the Missing, but still... this is pretty damn amazing. Something between 4 and 4.5 right now although I am not into pop-punkish sound usually.
War Paint, Miscommunication and Waves are outstanding.
