Instrumentation is decent enough, but the singer is laughable.

Yeah maybe, but the vocals pretty much ruin it for me. I could see myself rating it a 2, but no higher.

With 2 new guitarists, Sleeping With Sirens seem a more focused - as well as versatile - outfit on their 2nd LP 'Let's Cheers to This'. While not necessarily dropping their post-hardcore tag, the quintet wisely & subtly boost accessibility by concentrating on the melodic aspects of their sound... This suits the soaring vocals of front-man Kellin Quinn, who rises to the task with aplomb. While the band occasionally cross the line into too poppy territory, the maturing song-writing & energetic hooks ultimately make this LP a satisfying winner. Recommended Tracks: A Trophy Father's Trophy Son, Do It Now Remember It Later, Let's Cheers to This & If You Can't Hang.

sort of more 'mature' in a way than the debut but ultimately much much worse (for me)

Play a genre in straight-ahead fashion & people call you boring/generic/formulaic.

Play a bit of a mix of genres & people say you're not playing the genre properly.

Damned, if you do & damned if you don't.
