only real problem with the album is that it sounds too large, pop punk isn't meant to be played on top of a mountain, it makes no sense

You know that comment I made about wanting to fuck you (figuratively, not literally) because you make me feel like I've achieved nothing in writing?

Well, it's back.

It's weird but Up All Night (sans the stupid main riff) is the only song I can remember from this.

These two puns are nifty; Adam both to my scrapbook of worthwhile jokes.

haha great summary. I dunno guys I was pretty pleasantly surprised by this album. It definitely starts to suck near the end but most of it is mint.

i don't think they're trying to be arcade fire exactly but i get a similar "we speak for the kids" vibe from them. that and suburbs/neighborhoods make the connection pretty easy to make

Tom Delonge annoys the fucking hell out of me and each blink 182 after Enema becomes more and more of the Tom show. I want new +44 god dammit.

Review is great, but a 2.5 is a little harsh. And I'm not catching any of this "self-importance" vibe

from them really, unless you count Tom and he's been that way for what, eight years? For what this

album is - a reunion and a logical follow-up to the s/t as well as their various side projects - it's

much better than anyone expected.

It seems there's two types of blink fans... those who enjoy their music for what it is (i.e., above-

average pop punk) and those who seem to think the s/t was some kind of amazing musical statement that

was never ever done before ever in history when all they did was discover The Police and some fucking

effects pedals

Good review, though I disagree obviously. I hear alot of the old "fun" Blink 182 on this album, Wishing Well, Kaleidoscope, Up All Night, and Heart's All Gone are all "playful" and teeming with that same adolescent joy on all of their previous records. This album is atleast a 3 IMO.
