Maybe I'm just not in the right mood to digest this album right now, but this isn't doing much for me. I liked the first two albums a lot more. I'm not hearing anything on here as good as "Swim" or "I'm Ready".

His best song is something corporate's "konstantine", but from jack's mannequin i like "miss delaney", "mixed tape", and "swim" the best

i've got to go with "holiday from real" and "hammers and strings"

from this i was really feeling "hey hey hey", "people running", and "restless dream" the most

I've gotta go with Watch the Sky as best Something Corporate. Mixed Tape, The Resolution and Into the Airwaves are my favorites though

EIT is a bit better IMO (I have that as a 5) but I still look forward to reading your take

Great review. Going to check it out since I really did enjoy JM until The Glass Passenger.

Dunno why, but I hated that album.

Love this album art. I only have North (SC), I checked out The Glass Passenger once before and quite liked it I think. Are Jack's Mannequin more folky/country than SC?

No folk or country... Just piano rock. I bought this yesterday because I've always loved this band. Still haven't even had a chance to listen yet though.

This has nothing to do with folk or country

It's not as catchy as I would've hoped but it's still quite good. Worthy of the 4 I gave it, no more no less.

Yeah catchy isn't what's coming to mind for me either, but that's just okay. I am loving this.

At first I thought the lack of an album defining song like "Swim" was going to bother me, but it really doesn't.

I feel the exact same way. I kept waiting for a Mixed Tape to anchor but have come to terms with it not being here.
