There's definitely some jams on this. NY State, Halftime and Represent are probably my faves thus far. And I like the production.

they're all jams

for a white af mid-30s guy liking his first 'rap album' three jams is quite a lot of jams, lol (only said 'rap' because instrumental hip-hop and adjacent stuff can be pretty cool sometimes - but yeah, this is very early days for me)

I don't dislike anything, so that's definitely a positive revelation

Demon this is a good first record for the genre. What did you like besides the production? I’m tryna see what your next hip hop record should be

I like the way he uses samples, some old jazz-style flourishes in there. It helps aid the sort of dark smokiness of the prod / thick atmosphere. His rapping is pretty smooth too, quite easy to follow along for the most part. There's some refs / slang I unsurprisingly don't understand, but the words themselves don't escape me
idk if you can make sense of this, but yeah
I've heard 36 Chambers too, which was harder to get into tbh - I really didn't like the 'skits' and found the fact it switched between different rappers a lot made it feel less cohesive and personal (I did enjoy a couple of the tracks though... 'Method Man' being one I can recall liking).
