You know, it's not that this album is the "same" as past Nickelback albums, it's not so much that they're repetitive. They only started really doing this an album ago, and they started slipping down this hole two albums ago. The problem is that they went from the band I enjoyed on Silver-Side Up to... Well... What everyone always said they were. They're cock-rock/butt-rock to the maximum, it's terrible, terrible stuff. And they're just continuing it. They used to write about different things, but they just kept becoming more and more produced, and more and more focused on a kind of rock n' roll lifestyle. Clearly fame and money went to their heads.

I agree completely with cutman. It's almost as if the band is trying to be as cliche and bad as possible. They at least had some enjoyable songs in the past, but now there's nothing memorable on this record. Sure they've always been a bit cliche and boring, but this album takes it to a new low.
2/5 (and that's being generous)

I really do not understand the overwhelming hate for this, I wrote a review for this on this site
which basically states the
album for what it is. Which is;
1. What you'd expect from Nickelback
2. Average, nothing more & nothing less.
I really do not understand why people become so offended by this band. There just an average rock
band who can write a
catchy rock track or 2.
Have any of you haters even heard of such offensive music like Taking back sunday Justin beiber,
JLS, west life, Bring me
the horizon, fall out boy, black veil brides, good charlotte, kings of leon, the killers, the
rotted, decapitated, cannibal
corpse, hate eternal, simple plan, hawthorne heights & HIM. - I realise I went off on a slight
tangent then, I am just
trying to demonstrate that there is far far more offensive music out there than these guys.

I wasn't surprised when I found out it was you who wrote this review. Good review but I haven't heard the album and never
will.

"umm....why in god's name is this the featured sputnik review on metacritic?

cause it's a good review? no staff have reviewed it yet either. doesn't have to be staff to get on metacritic
|

doesn't have to be staff to get on metacritic
that is so incorrect. Meta fuck up constantly with this site.

I was trying to prove to my friend how bad Nickelback sucks by sending him to Metacritic, only to see the front page for 'Here and Now' features a 90/100 by my favorite music website. /fail

dude, music shouldn't just "satisfy" you. the review doesn't justify a 4.5
