Okay, and what makes it seem as if it wants to be an "emotionally resonating" album and not just a intelligent dance album?

I get what he's saying though.
Technically, this is very impressing stuff, but somehow I don't really really get excited by it. That's the argument for being emotionally dry, which doesn't have to mean they're trying to make you cry or anything like that...

Except not getting excited by it =/= emotionally dry.

I get where this emotional stuff is coming from, I had the same issue when I first heard this, but then I chucked it onto my giant fuckoff sound system and realized this shit is meant to make you move, not cry.

Maybe mentioning Untrue wasn't the smartest of ideas. You need to stop looking for emotional counterpoints and moments of epiphany sometimes, and just fuckin' dance. I know that might be a strange new concept for a lot of people here but....

So many good electronic albums this year this maybe on top

Guess nobody has read my point right: there's a difference between dancing to something indifferently, and dancing to something because you get excited by it.
Of course this is an album to dance to, that's pretty fucking clear to me. But if you don't get excited by something (which is an emotion after all), then the album could be considered emotionally dry.
Emotion-heavy =/= getting all weepy about something.
My two cents, and I'll stop nagging about this, because it's actually pretty pointless in the end.

Why would you dance to something indifferently in the first place?
But if you don't get excited by something (which is an emotion after all), then the album could be considered emotionally dry.
Errrr.....

"Why would you dance to something indifferently in the first place?"
That was in response to your "You need to stop looking for emotional counterpoints and moments of epiphany sometimes, and just fuckin' dance."
So in other words, you don't ;)
And that second statement seems pretty clear to me
