If you think excitement is the only emotion you're capable of then sure!
And no you'd either dance or you wouldn't, unless you're just trying to impress me

Impress you? Have you read what I just typed?
You say: "this album isn't about emotional counterpoints and all that jazz"
I say: "That's true, so the only thing that's left is, do I get excited by it - no."
You say: "just dance", I respond: "if I don't excited by it, why bother?"
Hope it's clear now...

honestly, this conversation has gotten pretty retarded. I just like the way this sounds. I doesn't make my penis cry but few things do these days.

WOAH SERIOUSNESS!!!!!
You said there's a difference between dancing and dancing indifferently, I said why would you dance indifferently, you said it was a response to me telling you to dance and I was being snide in saying that you must be trying to impress me if you're willing to dance indifferently to something that doesn't excite you therefore rendering it emotionally dry because it wouldn't matter if it made you happy or nostalgic as excitement is the only thing that apparently matters but I'll still give it a 3.5 and I hope that's clear now....

"Guess nobody has read my point right"
The only point is that you're coming into an album with some sort of expectation when you can't just let it be what it is. You need to look up the word emotion too lol.

exactly, and this album doesn't make me want to fuckin' dance
That's fine, but until we bought it up your complaint was that it was "emotionally dry" (well it was Lucidity's complaint and you agreed), hence me saying sometimes you need to stop looking for that kind of stuff and realize some things are just meant to make you dance. No problems if that doesn't work for you either though

Son, I am disappoint. Dev, you heard the new Zomby EP? It's pretty damn good, up there with the best EP's of the year.

What's up with that abrupt transition on the last track on Zomby's EP though?

Without listening I think it's somewhere in the 1:15-1:45 range. There's a big change in the track and it just kind of comes out of nowhere. It sort of feels like the way the tracks transition in '92 except it's in the middle of the song so it's a little weird IMO.

If you mean the part where it skips from traditional drum & bass breaks into jungle/bordering on breakcore territory then yeah it's intentional, but jarring. I think that's kinda the point though, like a drum & bass drop where it cuts out and then comes back in more fierce

@Dev- yeah that's what I mean. And I get that it's intentionally making an abrupt transition, but to me it felt too abrupt. I'm all for throwing in some surprises here and there but it felt like one track thrown on top of another with no cohesion, because nothing carried over. Everything that was going on in the initial section stopped at the end of the measure and a completely new one began with nothing carried over from what was happening before.
It's at pretty much exactly 1:00 to make a correction on my earlier post, and my apologies for hijacking this thread with talks of a different album, but at least this is getting bumped.
