"We’re beyond taking cheap shots at the whole American fascination with “brostep” now"

We have a fascination with brostep? I don't think I've ever even heard a "Bro-Step" album.

Based on your review it sounds like the DJ's went nuts and the band didn't know enough about the music
to rein them in.

"Most of the real hate that I've seen seems to be coming from... people that believe that they can't grow up & expand their musical tastes and still appreciate a decent nu metal album."

Decent point there. I still enjoy a few nu metal albums occasionally, Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory and Slipknot's Vol. 3 being the ones that spring immediately to mind. I guess it's not really that ALL nu metal is terrible, it's just that everything else is just so much better. As always, imho.

"The infamous 0.5 has been handed out

but what will the fanboys do

Bomb New Zealand"

Let's gather up the Aussies - I'm sure they'd be keen on a New Zealand attack ;]

Dev, your reviews are usually very objective; you seem to prefer talking about how you find the music to be objectively good or bad, rather than talking about how the music makes you feel. But this review's different. I actually hear a bit of you in it; I hear your anger with how bastardized dubstep has become, and I hear your genuine anger with the fact that Korn of all bands has decided to bastardize it even more. And you know what? I love it.

"So what we get is an album that ends up being about as revolutionary as a backwards R, "

YES.

So yeah, I don't know if I'm gonna listen to this. I can pretty much imagine how it's going to be lol

Not heard the whole album, but the songs I heard off this are hilarious.
Although, if I'm really honest, it's the best "brostep" I ever heard (what isn't saying much, but still...)

Every time someone says Bro-step I get a flash image of Hans fucking a nameless chick in the middle of a frat party.

Fuels The Comedy shouldn't be a bonus track. It's better than most of the standard album
