Saw the movie today. Was amazing as expected, and the music fit perfectly.

it's not a remake of the swedish movie, it's a different adaptation of the book

"A perfect companion piece to David Fincher's dark and moody film; "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" is a cold, bleak, and otherworldy beast of a soundtrack that is a challenging and absorbing piece of music overall."

The semi-colon at the beginning seems like it should be just a comma, since the two fragments can't fare as sentences on their own. Plus, think you meant to say otherworldly.

There are also two more semi-colons in your opening paragraph that seem misplaced / not needed, and I would say you should just adjust the wording around them to make them fit because I know that semi-colons are fantastic if used correctly.

Oddly enough those were the only things I could find; your review was very well-written, and you successfully made me want to check this out even more. ;]

I haven't heard anything from Trent post-NIN, is this or the Social Network soundtrack as good as I've heard?

Didn't Trent say that The Slip was his last album though?

Just saw the movie last night, I missed essential plot points because of this soundtrack, good stuff.

Are soundtracks Reznor's thing now or is he still gonna do some NIN stuff?

He never said NIN was dead, but nevertheless this is probably what his primary focus is going to be.

3 sex scenes weren't enough?

Only worthwhile parts were the mutual sex scenes. Everything else including the atmosphere was done better in the 09 version.

Thats probably why you hated this movie, you saw the original first.

It's like when you read a really good book, and then when the movie comes out, it completely sucks.
