Pittman - 'Ima' is subtle. It's kind of odd for an EDM album because it's not near as immediate as most are. It's subtle, it's lush, and there is soooo much more to appreciate here than the melodies of the songs. Give it time, and a few more listens; it might come at you in ways you never expected.
"ESCM is better trust me, the melodies are sexier"
^^^ Agreed.

@Sanguine: Glad to see you here too ;)
This album is full of incredible individual moments:
- Nocturnal Transmission at 5:54.
- Quark at 4:45 where the bassline sort of "extends".
- Tripping the Light Fantatic at 3:56 which makes me go MENTAL.
- Deeper Sunshine at 5:08 with the tribal percussions.
- Loving You More (BT's Garden of Ima Dub) at 6:01.
- Embracing the Sunshine at 10:00.
etc. etc.

Genre-nitpicking of course, but I feel this is more like progressive house. At least for most of the
tracks. The basslines in particular give me that impression. Trance often has a sound more "cold" than
house, in the same way that techno is more "cold" or let's say more "harsh" than house. Trance is very
emotional obviously so when I say "cold" I refer essentially to the beats/basslines/sounds and not the
melodies. Kind of like when you say "red" is a hot colour and "blue" is a cold one. But that's just my
two cents anyway, doesn't change the fact that this album is amazing ^_^
That being said,
dont kill me dev [2]
