I really do love how masterfully articulated this review is, but here are some edits for you, Dev (and I'm honestly surprised there aren't more things to point out given the length of this review):

the dialogue the crackle and hiss of vinyl spinning late into the night.

Missing punctuation.

Kindred however is a much sinister entity

Missing 'more' after 'much'.

And Kindred as a whole release is that almost painful acceptance

This makes sense but it flows a little awkwardly.

@planewreck "How do you continue to redefine a sound that, as far as everyone is (somewhat wrongly) concerned, "redefined" a sound? By acting as if you are still suspicious of its power and quality; that's where the sinister, paranoid aspect plays in."

Superb comment. Sums up this record so well for me.

I definitely don't think this is better than Untrue, as that's a full album with fleshed out ideas and perfect ambiance, but this is really something else.

i just think it's an easier listen. like, he took the darker ambiences of other artists and focused his talents through that. plus it's much more easily digestible with its smaller size.

It's more than half the length of Untrue and it's only 3 songs long; I don't know if I'd say it's more easily digestible.

idk i've always had trouble getting through untrue in one sitting without wanting to turn on clubroot or something else entirely. this could just be completely me being an idiot though.

I'd probably give this a 4.5 or something if it was longer but I'm still loving this so much.
