started listening to this, idk what to think yet but yeah the vocalist is just a weaker version of maynard, and the rest sounds very tooly. Maybe there will be something to distinguish this (in a good way) from Tool.

Tool already do a good enough job of sounding the same every album. They don't need another band doing it too.

Vocals are boring. Lyrics are contrived. Music is uninspired. Bleh.

Skimmed through the album and it sounded average at best.

Not even nearly as interesting as we hoped for it to be.

From Metal Storm: Lopez described the music as "melodic, heavy, intricated, and very different than everything else."

Or what I think he meant to say was, "Have you heard of a band called Tool? They are a band that we are obsessed with, and we tried to write an album that mimics all the sounds and techniques that they use in their music."

Seriously, even though the music uses so many Tool elements, did they have to get a singer that sounds EXACTLY like Maynard? I have to say the music sounds pretty good, but it is such a blatant Tool rip off, it is hard to for me to take seriously.

I seriously thought Maynard was on this.

Just because the album cover looks similar to Tool's Lateralus doesn't mean they stole it from them or are trying to mimic their sound. The Lateralus body doesn't have a child in the back of his mind, and definitely wasn't smoking a pipe of butterflies, nice try though.
