it's a good blend, but most of the heavier parts have a definite 'avante-garde' black metal feel to it imo. i think there's a huge neo-folk influence, but it doesn't necessarily sound like neo-folk, perhaps in part to both the way the songs are structured and the ambient touches

though i can see this being comparable to wind's poem, for suresies

well I dunno man, there is honestly no sludge/hardcore here at all

Yeah, some of the way the background ambient stuff is done is reminiscent of some neo-folk and folk-y black metal.

I did catch the reminiscent aspect's for and found some parts to be really enjoyable. I guess from what I've heard wasn't what I was expecting like what aod said. Certain tones and riffs remind of sludge, some of the vocals over the riffs gave a really hardcore type to me. and some of the slower tempos gave off a really doom-like appearance.

oh it does have a doomy feel, won't deny that. but yeah, i'd have to totally disagree with you on the sludge/hardcore thing. take this from someone who listens to a lot of both those genres =P

Not sure if I was the only one who thought this but the short track lengths kind of bugged me. Music
is great, though.

It is true that I don't listen to many bands from those genres so I'll take your word for it. Although it didn't gel too much at first for me I am kinda getting a craving to listen to it again. I tried finding a download for it but couldn't find one last night.

Oh is that how it works? OK, I get it. I'll able to reap more out of this album if I can listen to it according to a place of my liking rather than being attached to my computer. Thanks bro.
