this was much better than I expected. I thought they'd be a singles band based on how damn catchy Zoom was (that seems to be a trend for a lot of these bands) but this is real solid.

The Vampire Weekend comparison had me worried, but I actually enjoyed this more than I thought (God,
how many times has that phrase been said in this thread? Why not expect to enjoy everything in our
shortened time on Earth? Does this point to a resiliency in our innate cynicism or do we suppress
expectations to feel the domino of thrill finally fall in our grimy 21st century hearts?)

hmm this album doesn't have the staying power i once thought it had. that might just go down to the genre though? still some awesome indie pop tracks on here. wonder if they will change their sound much with new material, it has been awhile since this came out.
