^ I agree. I find it odd that this is the direction they went in immediately after Focus. This does sound like it belongs right when it was rereleased (post-Carbon Based).

I agree with this as far as the overall vibe/atmosphere goes for sure. I think it has an older feel as far as composition goes though, It's a little more predictable than their other albums I think.

"Circle" rapes hard in general.
I disagree with it being placed as a logical step after Carbon, though. Both are degrees of experimentation away from Traced, but I think they're in different directions.

Would've liked this a lot more without Aruna Abrams' vocals. I find her treatment of melody to be
really boring... Female vocals in metal often seem to have this problem. :/
