ie: "on this album, the band strips away all of the distortion and uses cleaner sounds."



ie: "the vocals are much louder on this album than ever before"



ie: "on this track, the band utilizes a drum machine instead of an actual drummer."



now i know that some people on this website are dim-witted enough to argue with you about whether or not the sky is blue, but some things are just not really debatable.

they are plain facts which can be used as criticisms, depending on your own personal stance. if you dont like the use of drum machine sounds on a song, you can use that as a criticism, can you not? is that not better than saying "this is boring"

A while later, listens to "These Kinds of Ice Skates" before album comes out.

Me: Oh... Um... Man no worries it will be good! The vocals are um, poppy and um kinda fun.
