It just looks like something from a high-school comm. tech class. I think the idea is cool, the execution is a little shoddy.

Just starting to listen to this. After a couple listens I realy dig Untouchable 1 and 2, and I think it's The Storm. The rest of it is going to have to grow on me. It will get plenty of opportunities to do so.

I miss music like this, I listen to too much metal these days. Very refreshing to hear songs where the voices are equally if not more memorable than the instruments.

Enjoyable music, but once again I feel the band failed to cross that thin line between competence and greatness.
Very good review btw.

The only problem I have with this is that the formulaic approach makes it sound kinda contrived, as opposed to being 100% heartfelt like past albums

Can't say I agree with that. I mean Lost Child is probably the most intense thing this guys ever created since One Last Goodbye, imo.

Yeah, it may not be a classic, but how you can not like this is beyond me

Also, the Lost Child, Internal Landscapes and Untouchable 1 are all very heartfelt, but because they use the same structure again and again, it takes some of the life out of it for me. It's still emotional (it's Anathema), but it just doesn't feel as natural as before

I can see your point, pretty much the whole album is all about post rockish crescendos.
Well so far it works for me. :D

wooooow woooow calm down, I know it's Anathema, but you're nearly asking for the impossible. :D

I don't think they'll be able to top this but hey we can always hope

This is possibly the best album I've heard in 3 years. Absolutely brilliant. So calming, diverse but connected, so much space, emotion and distress in one album, in one piece of music.
