idk, thought christmas was pretty good but omg sounds like a drier version of isis



they should stick with the heavy stuff, the ambient parts are boring tbh

I've liked everything they've done but the vocals on this are in unlistenable to me for some reason..
I've tried multiple times and just can't do it

in general not many people are used to ambient and metal in different segues in one track or in between or whatever i'm high. but both the ambient and 'actual' content is both well-executed and well-written.



Common Species for example had a great sludge-stoner-hardcore thing going on like Buzzoven and the second half is well-fucking done Khanate on the sleeves, I fucking geeked over that when I first heard it cuz Khanate is amazing.

I honestly don't think I have ever been turned off this much by vocals...even more so then self defense family which was a lot haha
