Am trying desperately to crush my interest in hearing this, but I guess my ratings could use some more 1.5s

The electronic element of this is so off-putting to me that it completely ruins any shred of decency it could have had. What the fuck do the other members of this band do besides the vocalists?

Your rusty review is better than most of the highly lauded crap masquerading as critical feedback these days. You do a good job of laying out your argument in a logical fashion with examples, giving me a pretty good understanding of what to expect. Pos.

Lost interest in these guys after Minutes to Midnight, perhaps I should give this one a listen.

They need to drop Rick Rubin, I think he's a horrible influence on this band the last 5 years.

The problem for this band is not rubin, those guys were trying to stop being labeled as a nu metal band , also the musical taste of mike shinoda has been changing over the past decade( He was at first a fan of ministry and rage against the machine and now he likes more acts like metric or mike snow). So they decided to expermient and the result was a wannabe U2 album and the other expermient resulted in a indie pop-electronic album.

Rubin is a monster for production, even big producers have some problems, the only thing that could be his fault is the fact that he didn't allow to put qwerty in minutes to midnight and that forced the band to replace that song with leave out all the rest ( which I consider a gay Savage Garden ripoff)

This. Okay I guess I can hear Joe Hahn and the drummer, but what the fuck does the bassist and guitarist do I'll never know.

Dave Farell bass has been almost non existent in big percent of the discography of these guys ( even in the old works bass lacks of presence compared to another nu metal acts of their time like korn or mudvayne), you can actually hear him just in few tracks like given up and a place for my head, so he should actually quit.
