Blue Sky Noise was Circa saying "hey look at us!" where Violent Waves is them saying "we're still Circa Survive".

Definitely not as easy, but well worth it. BSN was their easiest to get into.

This is the definition of a grower. It's their hardest album to get into, but it's really awesome. I thought I didn't like it at first, but I have definitely changed my mind.

Found out last night that this band is incredible live. I'd never seen them before but they came through with Touche Amore and B&C last night and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to

This album has grown on me so much. On first listen it seemed too linear

Despite releasing their best record yet, Circa Survive found that a major label was not for them; hence the self-releasing & producing of 4th LP 'Violent Waves'. Logically, the Philadelphian quintet attempt to fuse the conventional, diverse & melodic aspects of 'Blue Sky Noise' with the more progressive elements of their earlier work. The atmospheric sound often works well with Anthony Green's distinctive vocals, although this album is hardly immediate. Unfortunately, the tracks do bleed into each other as the LP progresses through its bloated 55 minute duration. Recommended Tracks: Suitcase, Sharp Practice, Bird Sounds & Birth of the Economic Hitman.
