My favorite tracks are Planet Telex, The Bends, black Star and My Iron Lung, even though they are all good. it's an all together great album. This Message Edited On 05.13.06This Message Edited On 06.16.06

This is probably my favorite Radiohead album. OK Computer is still really good, and the only other one I really listen to by them.

Pretty good review man. Bones and My Iron Lung are great songs. I think the bends is just as good as Ok computer

Kid A trumps them all.

^I agree, but maybe "trumps" is too harsh a term.

Bones is quite a decent song, rubbish about the bitter taste nonsense, the chorus is great. Good review though.
The worst song is clearly Sulk as you say, and to be honest, I never really liked My Iron Lung all that much. (Although the EP of the same name has some quality stuff on it).

I don't think kid A's the best. It has moments of sheer brilliance but it doesn't touch the bends or ok computer.
Oh yeah, sulk rocks!! Bulletproof's the worst song on the bends.

I love this album, it really does go back and forth in my mind if this is better than OK Computer or not. Or is Kid A better than both of them? I don't think I'll ever settle this. I don't think Bones and Sulk are bad songs at all, nothing on this album is bad, though they are less interesting than the other songs. They do fit perfectly into their order though, listen to this from beginning to end, it's quite an experience.

"The Bends is like Star Wars - a neat, separate entity with lots of explosions but not much plot. And OK Computer is The Empire Strikes Back, more ambitious, more complex, with more loose ends, but ultimately much better".
Very geeky analogy, but I agree completely with this. The flow of the songs does not nearly reach that of OK Computer...but I don't find OKC particularly complex... I find it perfectly beautiful and innovative but not especially complex.

i really love that little ditty right in the middle of "just" at 2:06-2:20, street spirit is also a great interlude on what was to come on ok computer

To be quite frank, this is possibly the only Radiohead cd I can get into.

Nice Review. Ok, Sulk may not be as good as the rest of the album, but its still a fine song and a I agree with the coment that its a nice final breather for the album before sending us into the majesty of Street Spirit. And Fake Plastic Trees has to be one of the most well written songs ever. Its just beautiful man...

Great album. I got Ok Computer first and thats a better album, but i think this is a better album for those still getting into radiohead. Great review, by the way.

Star Wars comparison is very good, although I still don't understand why Just is such a highly rated song. Perhaps it will occur to me someday, but My Iron Lung is genius. Anyways, I'm rambling, great stuff Med as always.
