In my opinion it's weaker than the previous two albums in his "trilogy" as a whole, but it has some of his best individual tracks like Zercon and Epizootics.

I guess that make sense since those are both some of my favorites.
And I would actually say that this album feels a little more conventional than the drift, but I do agree that it has some moments that feel even more sparse and devoid of musicality like in Dimple, Tar and Pilgrim.
