This is really sweet. I really love the swirling buzz at the beginning of Ljoss, vocal samples are
great as well.
Also Forest swords is one of the best band/project names I've seen in a long time. Art work is cool as
well.

Yeah this album makes me sad I don't listen to more electronic music

Why dont you? This year had some sweet sweet stuff which is not that dissimilar (Banshebeat, Bonobo, Gold Panda)

Dunno, almost never feel the urge to listen to that kind of music, there's still so much to get lost into in what I like to listen, but it's still a shame to feel like I'm missing out on a whole side of music.
Trying to improve on that thankfully so yeah I'll probably get into those recs dude

only recently I discovered lots of great 2012 stuff, but honestly I do think that ranking years is quite useless.

Sure (like most rankings)
it's amazing to witness like a renaissance of electronic music
idk about the renaissance thing, I mean, it was never away or something. Maybe the exposure is bigger again but I can't compare.

yeah it didn't really leave per say and it never died or stopped progressing it just seems like within the last
few years, maybe like starting 2007-2008, there've been a lot of really experimental and successfully-so acts that are
getting
both acclaim and exposure that are influencing the genre positively.
idk still sounds hyperbolic but my point is we're getting shit like forest swords and it's lovely
