Kurt walked on his own because he didn't support the direction Franzino wanted to go in. Realistically, the band got caught in a situation where they wanted to go softer and their clean vocalist wasn't interested in what he heard so I guess they are just trying to make do with what they've got. I assume they don't have Franzino singing because he's likely not capable of playing technically demanding material and singing at the same time.
I feel like I'm defending a bunch of shit that *I* don't even support lol

Well, the band is probably going to be on its way out. I don't see their artistic changes going over too well in the grand scheme of things. The sound they had was THE thing they had going for them and they're fools if they thought it wasn't a successful venture that many other bands try to pick up.
