Wogger- my point is that Periphery made it clear (hehe) that this record was gonna be a project with songs written from all members, and that the tunes didn't share many characteristics other than simply being released at the same time

Actually, there's supposed to be a unifying melodic or conceptual theme running through the songs or something like that. A concept album of sorts, but just written by different people separately.

Omaha - Good point mayne. It just seemed different from the way you explained it.

Uh they're kind of huge, so yes, they are still around.

Everything here pretty much sucks, I really REALLY hope they step the fuck up on the upcoming full length album.

Well for one, and I say this as someone who has defended Spencer's vocals since day one, his vocals

are total shit on this, with a few exceptions. There are sooo many vocal effects and every single one

of them is total garbage. And he doesn't have any good/memorable/enjoyable in any way melodies. He

just kind of sucked ass here.

Then there's the fact that most of the songs sound like typical Periphery material, but worse. And

then the songs that don't sound like Periphery material, like The Parade of Ashes, are just god awful.

The only song I enjoy at all is Feed The Ground, and that's just because it's pretty catchy,

it's definitely not anything special.

lol honestly parade of ashes is the most catchy to me, I've never minded spencer's vox but i think he has unique melodies

i love his voice personally, and i can also see that for a periphery album, Parade hardly fits
id be much happier if they released these unofficially, but im sure theyll cash a phat check in the end anyway

Actually I did kinda like Spencer's song, but it's an early contender for guiltiest pleasure of the year.
