Band has run out of interesting things to do after Mr. Beast. Still gonna check it at least.

This is a stunner! Best thing they have done in years.

this is just blah. i dont know how theyre getting away with bland, uninspired tracks that go nowhere and are devoid of emotion, yet people still seem to think its amazing (some people). blues hour is an anomaly, great song and the only reason this isnt lower than a 2.5 for me.

Bland bland bland album. I think they should just call it a day at this point.

i dont think they should call it a day i think if they really tried they could make another young team. but they seem to have an aversion to quiet-loud dynamics these days to the point where deliberately avoiding them is harming their sound. i dont know what they wanted to achieve here but they must have known they didnt have any "awesome" moments in any of these tracks. they dont go anywhere. its a shame because drunk and crazy was one of the best songs theyve ever done imo, and then the next thing they bring out (bar the soundtrack) is dire.

Plenty of people keep going on about how amazing Mogwai are. I just... don't get it

i feel you. they had young team which was amazing and dark and atmospheric. every album since then has been a mix of tracks that don't go anywhere and a couple of nice moments. other than young team i tend to just like the odd song, like sine wave, white noise or drunk and crazy. no album after young team is above a 3 or 3.5, whereas young team is an easy 5

disagree. I think they are amazing up until to Mr. Beast. But after that it goes downhill.
