this is a really great review, especially paragraph six. even though i dont necessarily agree with
the way you represent electronic music and public reaction to it in general i still think the overall
point isnt too far off
im glad people are starting to get this.

"a negative Anthony Fantano review of Floral Shoppe and an annoying 4chan bandwagon you’ll see
mimicked on the Sputnik soundoffs page stunted the genre’s growth, relegating it to “hipster-trash”
status alongside seapunk and witch house."
Noticed that too, people listening to opinions rather than the music. Also love how you mention the
diversity here, that doesn't get talked about enough.
Amazing review Downer. Never expected anyone to go as in-depth about the many misconceptions of
vaporwave and Floral Shoppe in full review form as you did here. Now how do you hug people on this
thing.

Hug the computer or laptop or phone you're using. Somewhere out there, Downer can feel it.

If that's ironic then CLOSE DOWN SPUTNIK, we're done here folks. No point to any of this discussion, nothing to see here.

I'd like Adam Downer, in his own words, to explain why this album is good. Because he sure as hell didn't achieve that in this word salad of a review.

Anthony Fantano was right in his criticisms btw. If far too charitable.

Believe it or not Thales, a good writer doesn't have to come out and state the obvious by saying things like
IT WAS GOOD BECAUSE [so and so], but rather state more passionate and inspired statements like...
"Floral Shoppe is constantly--and delightfully--unsettling."
"a record both of powerful anonymity and impeccable craft."
"It’s the beauty it achieves within its form, though, how it discovers a sensuous heart in broken, forgotten
adult contemporary music that suggests a direction for the future"
"It embraces the inundation of the internet information age, the power of technology, human obsolescence,
and makes them sound sweet."
...that offers readers who aren't partial and read only what they want to hear with a clear indication of
where the writer stands on the album.

A good writer's arguments should have premises when converted to the syllogistic form.

Y'know "converted to the syllogistic form" looks a lot like that very "word salad" you were referring to earlier in criticism of this review
