I just heard that they're going to re-release the movie in the theaters as a sing-along version...
Again, fucking necessary.

Disney always cash grabs

I was really disappointed by 2013 in movies
like, really mainstream movies? 2013 was a phenomenal year in film. fruitvale station, the act of killing, short term 12, her, a hijacking, blue is the warmest colour, blue jasmine, dallas buyers club, etc
|
| |
Yea Dallas Buyers Club was phenomenal and Gravity was also amazing. I haven't seen American Hustle or Wolf Of Wall Street but everyone I know that saw them loved them both.

can someone explain how releasing a soundtrack consisting of the actual music from a musical movie is a cash grab again? I'm still completely missing this point.
|

all music is a cash grab
LOOK AT HOW PROFOUND I AM

the soundtrack itself isn't necessarily a cash grab, but something with this degree of stagnation is. to bring in an analogy I know better, it's essentially the same thing with pop-house artists releasing the same song over and over again so that people will keep buying it and saying "OMG THIS EDM RULES." in a similar fashion, this sounds like just about every "pop-musical" before it and the utter lack of experimentation, soul, or anything else redeeming in that manner is staggering

Disney have all the money in the world.
It can't hurt having a little more, can it?
|
| |
Yes it can.
Btw Green, how was Robocop? From what I hear it's alright but not as good as the original.

i feel that analogy is fair only if your referring to frozen the movie in addition to/in it's stead (regardless of whether i agree or not). i think the disconnect between your opening sentence and the rest of your thought process is a bit weird.

I mean I enjoyed it and I disliked most of 2013's movies and I'm not really a movie person and it was
gorgeous so yeah. I wouldn't see it again because the songs would drive me crazy (especially "For The
First Time in Forever" and whatever the Hans/Anna duet is) but I enjoyed it well enough. An album
shouldn't only be listenable on first playthrough though

Robocop was great, I decided not to watch the original until I finished it because I didn't want to ruin the experience
|
| |
Well I did the same thing for Total Recall yet I still think the original was the best. I did watch the original RoboCop and I'll admit it was very entertaining. Never thought I would enjoy a cheap gore movie like RoboCop that much honestly.
(And by cheap gore I mean it's obvious that the blood and violence is fake)
