I really don't like New Surrender. There are maybe a few songs that I think are okay on it.

I love Resistance, Retrace, Blame Me, Disappear and Misearbile Visu. Breaking and Soft Skeletons are really good, too.
I actively dislike Breathe and Younglife and tend to go back and forth on Burn Out.

ecnalzen: younglife makes me feel all warm and reminiscent. the songs you listed are pretty much my favourites as well though. also - i enjoy fin, i mean it's an excellent song, but it's not even the best song on cities.

Younglife is just.. it's too poppy Anberlin for me, I guess. Dislike is probably a strong word, too. I can listen to it, but I have a tendency to skip over it. The only Anberlin song that I just straight up don't like is Foreign Language.
And yeah, I don't dislike fin either. There's at least 3 songs I like more than it on Cities.

Resistance is really good, I think the problem with New Surrender is that it is sandwiched between two of my favorite Anberlin albums. I may need to give it another go if you guys enjoy it that much.

It might be worth a shot. My opinion's changed on almost everything before Vital at some point or another.
Speaking on this one, tho, Audrey and Paperthin are glorious slices of Anberlin musics.
