It's been a while since I've jammed this, but I do remember it being one of their weaker ones. Basically a watered down version of Everything Must Go

I must admit I only ever listen to Holy Bible nowadays for my Manic fix

Can't say I blame you; much as I'm digging Manics on the whole, that album is far and away the best of their first 5 and I'll be shell-shocked if any of their last 9 topple it

Dylan, you like Journal?

Haven't heard it yet, looking forward to it though based on the reception and context. I checked THB a couple years ago and loved it; revisited it last month, subsequently checked EMG and loved that one too, and decided recently to check the discog. I'm working in chronological order so KYE is up next

Oh, cool
I love Journal, but it's been VERY long since I jammed it

Journal's definitely the best post-Richey album. It's like if you took the sound of Holy Bible and added the more cathartic moments of Everything Must Go to it. Awesome stuff

Oh shit nice - I've read that Richey left each member of the band with lyrics and that the album's creation was a cathartic process for them
Also, KYE does not appear to be on spotify, so skipping ahead to LB for the time being
