Disagree with most here, I think it's pretty damn good. Similar to other reviews I see on this site at times, it seems almost like just bandwagon negativity after someone with some time on this site or a staff member posts a real low score review. Everyone else hates it I better too. This isn't a bad release at all.

@Gameofmetal - you're right I don't have to assume that, but in this case I do. Another perfect example is Lurker of Chalice self-titled on here. Both cases where a "known reviewer" makes a very poor review on here, then multiple people jump on the wagon of how bad it sucks - yet everywhere else on the net for the most part the releases are met with the opposite feedback and reviews. This release of Drudkh isn't some massive hit everywhere but I've checked a good chunk of other sites and the averages are all 6-8 pretty much. Lurker of Chalice same thing, but actually even higher ranking everywhere. Bandwagon negativity.

The difference in the examples given being that Lurker is good and this is still actually boring. I don't get the high ratings on RYM but I don't get the high ratings for any of their other stuff either.

I need to listen again, but on first listen I thought it might be a 3.5. Not spectacular by any means, but it's substantially better than the rating would suggest, at least to my ears.

No there isn't, it actually sounds ok on first listen but the more u listen, the more u realize how boring and uninspiring it is, its a very lazy album.

still hate the cover artwork

the art style definitely doesn't mesh well with their other covers. Handful of Stars was also really different, but that one was m/ m/ m/ even if the album was kinda meh. Same goes for Eternal Turn of the Wheel.
