Yes, the next album. Listening to Currents for me is like the comedown from Lonerism, and from here we will all presume different things about what the outcome of KP's next work will be like. If it is a Tame Impala record at all.

"Let It Happen" rules, but I think "The Moment" is my favorite song here. The layering of the vocals is just so amazing.

Great review, Klap. In the opening paragraph, you typed "Let it Happens" a couple of times.

I'm glad something else thinks this is painfully average. All these 5 star reviews made me think I was going crazy.

Best Tame Impala artwork, best Tame Impala song - Let it Happen, 4 more standout tracks here if I'm being generous, the rest is pretty skippable. Shame, didn't feel at all that way about the other 2 albums. Maybe it'll get better with more listens though

eventually also goes on for way too long and doesn't have enough of that distorted part from the intro

Honestly, I was never really attached to their past ,material but dig the hell out of this. Really crisp production.

I agree with your review Klap, especially about "Past Life"s absurdity. However, your rating is not reflecting what you said.
