Don't like Kiss it Better at all, weak retro material IMO. And yeah Higher is a cool sample but the vocal ploy doesn't work at all for me

fair enough, for me the vocals work contextually with the lyrics. it really does seem like a pained drunken admission. at any rate, the sample immediately reminded me of the caretaker, which is a good thing

On one hand I really wish James Joint was longer because I love that vocal melody, but on the other hand it does a good job leading into Kiss It Better.
And yeah I definitely hear the Banks influence on Desperado, but that's why I like that song so much.
