FML certainly isn't my favorite on the album but I love the production on it even if the lyrics are a little faux-insightful. it's certainly better than freestyle 4 and waves anyway

@ciregno I get what you're saying but 'Ye just uses it so so well imo. not as much here as on MBDTF or 808s but those Auto-Tune gurgles on Ultra Light Beams hnnnnnrggg

I kinda agree on the auto-tune being a bit over the top at times and I'm saying that with 808's being one of my favorite releases by him.

He obviously used it more on 808s but most of the time it was in a more subtle way and it still sounded like kanye was at least trying to sing in tune.

Here on a song like Highlights it's almost like he is blatantly trying to sing as off key as possible which makes the auto-tune just sound abrasively ear piercing.

@Gmember on Highlights a lot of the "abrasive autotune" stuff is courtesy of Young Thug, who I love but who I admit is not for everyone. Take it with a grain of salt basically

there's a lot of track but a lot of them are so short that the album doesn't sound bloated like you'd expect an 18 track album to

@brostep, I can totally understand people who dig his work with autotune. I personally just don't prefer anything (kanye or non kanye) with autotune. It just rubs the wrong note for me, which is ironic since it's autotune that we're talking about here. There are some good tracks on this though.

I was listening to Life After Death the other day and on Playa Hater, Biggie obviously can't sing for shit but I could listen to that jam over anything autotune.

Feels like critics were too hasty to review this, and Kanye was too hasty to release this.

Yeah, I know writers have to have quick turnarounds since that's the nature of it all, but just as a reader it sometimes shows.
