Sorry, sometimes I forget there's some soft ass metal out there.

"The city of Fallujah represents the pinnacle of tensions, hostility and destruction that has come to define the world we live in. To claim that the band has no knowledge of what went on there or is disrespectful is simply an uninformed opinion and irrelevant to the true message of the band."
lol, you are ignorant if you deny our progressive death metal pseudo-philosophy

Good review, pretty much hit all the spots that I had complaints about. I will, however, maintain that Amber Gaze is the best song here or at least the one that stood out to me in terms of being consistent throughout itself.

proDUCTION

I googled the word "duction", and here is what I found:
"The rotation of an eye on the vertical and horizontal axis."
I don't understand capitalized emphasis and am also not very fun at parties.

Sounds really mediocre.

I would have to say Amber Gaze is one of the best tracks as well.

But yeah, saying anything even remotely close to "this is not metal" is ridiculous

Ok, 3,5 it is for now. It's really good and fun and all, but the songs don't really go anywhere structure-wise

What happened to the other feature?
This one is still growing on me. Put on some Rocket League and spaced out to it specifically without distraction and I was still noticing new little things. Gets better every listen! Which is odd because I've seen some people saying they like it less and less each time.

i hope it wasn't just a slip up, that would make me pretty sad but it's nice that we both got time up there

Eh I'm just biased because the previous feature had a higher score and I like the album
When I first started listening, I didn't like how dense it was; any wall-of-soundyness and little breathing room outside the ambient moments made the harsher chunks blend together. But I'm starting to think that's a strength to these guys' sound I didn't appreciate before: it stands up nicely to repeat listens because that density is actually rich with detail and riffs and clean picking that just washed over me before.
God I can't wait for what they put out next...it's going to be truly special. (PLEASEDONTSUCK)

Yeah, weren't they in high school when they started out? I wouldn't put it past them to think up such a pseudo-provocative name back then and retroactively justify it. I would too.
