Still can't believe they are opening for Queensryche. What a travesty.

@team I know right. Bands should be lining up for a chance to open for them instead

One of the best progressive metal albums in the last 10 years right here. As a matter of fact, The two A/M records along with this probably round out my top 3.

Can't argue with that.
I'm going to put you on the spot and ask you to rank the top 3 >:-)

The seven stars were sadly not aligned recently when Queensryche and Fates Warning had a show nearby. I was unable to make it due to the birth of my daughter. A valid reason to miss the show, to be sure, but man, I sure wish I could have made it...

Congrats on the birth of your daughter dude
and i would've left for Queensryche, or should I say, wouldn't have arrived until Fates took the stage

Congrats Blade! I made a mistake of not seeing Fates during the TOF tour. My parents were visiting, but I still should have gone. Hopefully they return to support the next album
@Titan: Even if Ryche played some older material?

Yeah bro I'd watch it, I'm just being overly sarcastic. It's hard to call the band by that name without Tate, DeGarmo, and now even Rockenfeld. C'mon man. Disappointing to see that Fates was 'supporting' them as well. A damn shame...
And I missed the TOF tour too and am pretty upset about that.

Oh haha, yeah I had a feeling you were joking, but I agree with your sentiment (even though I've never really been attached to Ryche, especially not like you :-) )
"Disappointing to see that Fates was 'supporting' them as well. A damn shame..."
Couldn't agree more. It's embarrassing tbh. Sadly it looks like the universe just doesn't want Fates to get the recognition and awareness they deserve. But as long as they have enough financial means to keep making music I'm happy
Yeah man I really wish I would have seen them supporting TOF. The live DVD rubbed salt into the wounds. Imagine hearing that production live

From The Rooftops is great of course, but that bridge. That BRIDGE! How can a bridge be so fucking perfect? Gorgeous

I can't believe that Jim would actually agree to support a band that barely packs 1000 people for a show. Old Queenryche no question, Fates would be the support, and even that is based solely on the numbers.

A friend of mine took some video of QR and I must say they sounded tight and the vocals were pretty much on point. I like Latorre well enough, but that old magic is gone. I am glad they are back to making music they love, and the new record is pretty good; it's just a far cry from the days of Mindcrime and their other classic records.
