lmao yeah when I see people criticizing the new record as a "Broadway musical" I'm just like, "bruh did you NOT listen to their last two records?" lmfao
liking it so far though

Their last two were more like theatrical prog alt-rock
New one is straight up theater

New one has more in common with Act II and III than color spectrum, migrant, IV, and V. It's a bit of a throwback in that way, except they are dealing more with electronics and funk on here. But...there's also a reason why the band didn't really blow up until Color Spectrum. II and III had some accessible songs, but they are also really, really weird lol

eeh, true I guess, lot less rock-ish stuff on the new one but honestly I'm fine with how they approached this album, their theatrical stuff was always nice to listen to and Antimai is no different

^ This is a perfect chain of comments. I really have nothing to add based on the couple singles I have heard so far. Definitely going to share the album with my theater geek gf though and see what she thinks.

Wait what? First half of III is some of their most rock oriented and accessible stuff. I agree about I and II being a little difficult to get into at times.

Holy fuck lmao new album sounding like The Wiggles
Edit: I hated almost every second of that

Sounding like the wiggles has me cracking up and a bit worried
