it's 75 minutes long ofc it drags..

gotta be honest though I've listened through it a couple of times yesterday and I didn't realize two hours and a half passed.

I'm undecided on the rating, I guess a 3.7 suits it - it's better than their four previous discs (Falling Home included, that is) and I guess I can't ask any more to a band that is now at their tenth release. A lot of bands I love and care about started writing utter crap way earlier than that

Nice review altough it needs some polishing, I don't personally like all those short detached one-sentence paragraphs - I'd use them only to stress a rather important concept/epiphany/absolute madman joke

---

One thing I'd like to point out is that lyrics are insanely important in any PoS disc - it's curious that a band that started with concepts related to global issues (environmental concerns, warfare manufacturing, the origin of God for chr**** sake) has progressively gone towards 'inner' self concepts - the meaning of relationships, birth and death and blablabla - I find it fascinating for some reasons, I guess Dan the man wanted to change the world in its youth and then retreated to the safe islands of individualism for some reason as its main source of inspiration for concepts....... ok sorry for the shpiel just had to write it somewhere

Most modern prog tends to be about relationships and emotions. Pos are now pure sentimentalism, but I don't mind.

Silent Gold is already one of their best ballads.

it's not as good as people make it to be, but it's definitely a great album.

Didn't like the singles (which I heard once). Listened to the opening song and I really hope it's far from the album's best moment. Will jam it all sooner or later but no hurry

I believe they did, one way or another. The difference is audible.

"I guess Dan the man wanted to change the world in its youth and then retreated to the safe islands of individualism for some reason as its main source of inspiration for concepts....... "

Probably because he almost died.

Still need to give this a go.
